River Tay 2001

2001 | (25 August to 1 September) Crianlarich to Perth
Running time 91mins

Sixteen members of the 1st Bungay Venture Unit endured the most demanding and eventful canoe expedition they have ever undertaken.

The plan was to canoe the River Tay, the longest river in Scotland, from its source in Crianlarich to Perth, a distance of nearly 80 miles.

Our brave team had little idea of what lie-in-wait for them. Boulder-strewn rapids, Dochart Falls and the 15 mile stretch across Loch Tay to name but a few.

A truly amazing journey through some of Scotland’s wildest and most beautiful countryside. But only those that were there will really ever know what a fantastic trip the River Tay 2001 was.

Crew: Peter Crockford, Matthew Earl, Martin Edwards, Aaron Fenn, Peter Fuller, David Hadingham, Matthew High, Stuart Hunt, Matthew Jermy, Nicholas Jermy, Peter Jermy, Giles Potter, Luke Prime, Adam Pritchard, Scott Pritchard, Ollie Whyte.
